immateriality is defined in two senses, the first describes different kinds of continuity and exchange between the body and society, interpreted here as an intersectionality which relates to the distribution or not, of power and knowledge.

The second definition of immateriality, refers to the nature of the landscape; both as material space i.e. the built environment of the City, and as an immaterial space i.e. of archival data relating to the making of the City.
